Post Script Interviews - David Bryan Lile, Architectural Photographer

David Bryan Lile is an architectural and environmental photographer operating in Northeast Ohio. He has traveled the world, shooting in a variety of cities across Europe, the US and particularly Ohio. With thousands of images in his portfolio, his clients include Price Waterhouse Cooper, Interstate Gas Supply, The Akron Beacon Journal and Summa Health System among others. His work has been exhibited in transportation hubs, such as the Cleveland, Columbus and Akron airports, along with galleries at Summit Artspace, Western Reserve Academy and for the Akron Downtown Partnership.

As a survivor of Leukemia, he tapped this difficult personal struggle to live gratefully and ever more determined to find the beauty in everyday life. Through photography, he seeks breathe life into the unnoticed details and forgotten spaces of the urban environment. Rendering scenes in dazzling color, his imagery depicts the energy and spirit of the dynamic places all around us. Whether on foot or on his bicycle, he encourages his viewers to pay attention to their immediate surroundings in new ways.

David shares his insight into operating as an artistic professional in photography, the necessity of pushing your limits as an artist, getting paid, and keeping your creative fires burning.

Also, a big thank you to the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center for letting us use your main gallery to conduct the interview. It is a fantastic non-profit organization that teaches a variety of visual arts disciplines including painting, drawing and sculpture. We couldn't have done it without the professionalism and assistance of the staff.
